Honda dies while driving
Ok guys, I have a really screwy honda here and it has me puzzled. Here is the scenerio:
Its a 96 honda accord lx 2.2 vtec
I can drive my car for a while and it will just switch off. The dash blacks out and the tach drops, but the air and radio continue to work. Typically it will start right back up and be fine. I know, I know.. sounds like an ignition switch.... I already replaced it and to no avail. I still have the issue. I have also checked the wiring harness from the ignition switch to the fuse box and found nothing wrong. I have also verified that the main relay is not the issue because that will not cause my dash to black out and tach to drop. I have read online where some people say the ignitor a.k.a ignition module could be the issue. However, I don't believe that a bad ignitor could cause my dash to black out. Has anyone else ever had this issue? Some help would be greatly appreciated.
