Automatic transmission
I bought this car from an auction last summer. It had a bad transmission (shocking, I know)at the time, so I never drove it. While waiting for the transmission to be freighted in, I did pretty much as thorough of a tune up as you can. Ignition system and cooling system are completely new, timing belt and balance belts are new. Also took the throttle body and intake apart and deep cleaned everything. After I got the transmission in, and started daily driving it, I've realized that once it gets to operating temp, it backfires. It's completely spirastic and shakes the car, and it only does it when you're up to operating temp at idle. Sometimes when you take off from a stop, it will hesitate and shake a little for a half second, and then it runs fine.
any ideas?
