2001 Honda Accord Coupe LX Acceleration Problem
Hello everyone,
I have a problem with my Honda. When I drive it down the road I can usually get it up to 60 miles per hour and nothing higher than that and then it dips to around 40 and can't climb beyond that. My CEL light came on two weeks prior and when I did the paperclip test I to check the program code I got 9 long blinks which according to the CEL code it is - P1456 EVAP Emission Control System Leak Detected (Fuel Tank System).
So I checked my gas cap and it is secured, and I have a hard time believing that this is the problem. Does anyone have any ideas?

Just me but check the codes again....nine long blinks or nine short blinks?
Nine short sounds more like the issue based upon the description.
Better yet, you don't list your location, many places will scan OBD-II codes for free. Get the actual code.
