1998 Accord is not accelerating - details inside
I got a 1998 honda accord coupe with a 4 cylinder in it. The car quit pulling and I had the engine pulled to put a fly wheel in it. While the guy had it out, he put a timing belt in it. Now he is saying that when he starts the car it will idle but if he tries to accelerate, it gets to a certain rpm and boggs down like it's not getting any fuel. Can anyone give me some ideas as to what may be wrong?

Re: HELP!!
the car quit pulling?
so you removed the engine to put a flywheel in it?
please explain to me what you mean by the car quit pulling, and why you thought the right way to fix it was to remove the motor, to put a flywheel in it

Re: HELP!!
When I say it "quit pulling" I mean that you could put the car into gear and it would not move when you push the gas. I took the car to a guy that has done work for me before, just not on a honda. He said that the motor had to be pulled to put the fly wheel in.

If you're sure it isn't associated with the work that was done recently, and it was me, I would suspect the catalytic converter is getting really clogged up. Or a fuel pump is getting really weak. Scotty Kilmer has YouTube videos on how to check out/diagnose and replace both. So there are a couple of ideas.

without knowing the specifics of what was originally wrong and what he did to fix it it's tough to say but it really sounds like he may have fixed the underlying issue(perhaps the torque converter went out) but created another one when he tried replacing the timing belt
you may need to have the car towed to someone else(another mechanic) to get a second opinion

Tell him to re-check the MAP and TPS connections - they can get switched and will cause issues like what you are describing. I'd also verify/check the ground on the end of the plenum (G101).

Another guy told me to have hime to check the fuel lines, he said he could have crossed them up. At this point the guy said since he couldn't figure it out he is willing to give me half of my money back, so if I can fix it myself then that would be great. What is the plenum?

The MAP sensor is easy to see, what are the colors of the three wires that are plugged into it?
The "plenum" is part of the intake manifold. G101 is #16 in the pic
