Car won't start

Car won't start
I have a 1998 honda accord. OEM motor went out so I replaced the motor. Now the car won't start. I've been told that the ECU needs to be reprogrammed, if this is so is there a way I can do this myself or do I need to take it to a dealership?

4 or 6 cyl engine?
What is it missing? Meaning, are you getting spark on all plugs. Are you getting fuel to the rail when you turn the key to on and the fuel pump primes for a few seconds. When trying to start the car are you getting a "pulse" at the injectors.
When you turn the key to on - what is the green key light doing?
Common misses in these swaps......dist firing order, main ground (g101), switching the MAP and TPS connectors.....and a few more but those seem to come to the top.
