Like the title say. The 13 year's old beater kept on drain out battery.
especially when it's cold or raining(like today). I got the battery last year

Id check for a bad ground or soem kind of short in the system. sounds like something is slowly dicharging the battery.

the other thing you can do is buy a battery disconnect switch. looks like this
you just unscrew the green **** and the battery is disconnected from the car. takes a minute to screw it back in. my dad has one on his classic benz. he only drives it when its perfect weather, so it tends to sit a lot. used to have a lot of the same problems as you are having until he got this.

oh yeah, you can get it at http://www.eastwoodcompany.com

Did you replace the battery 3 times in a year (i.e. 3 different batteries), or is it the same battery that's gone dead 3 times in a year. If it's the latter, then you probably just got a lemon battery.

Could you possibly be having alternator problems, and not battery problems?

Keep in mind that once you discharge a battery to where it is dead, that battery will only hold 60% of it's original charge. When it's cold that will be much less. If you kill a battery it is never the same...(unless it's a deep cycle battery)
