EX ecu in LX
I know if you do this you'll throw the vtec code, but is there anything else that will happen? and is there a way to trick the ecu into thinking theres vtec so it won't throw the CEL?

no, nothing else will happen, you can trick the ecu into thinking there is vtec by hooking up a vtec solenoid and wiring it in, it doesnt have to be connected to the motor.

Re: EX ecu in LX (momstaxi)
well would this be the easiest way to get rid of the governor?
but im also thinking maybe getting a obd2->obd1 and piggybacking so i can tune. How much is the solenoid if i do that? and where would i put that?

I don't see how that would work...

Why not just get a chipped ECU? Wouldn't have to worry about throwing codes and you could then tune with it. A member by the name of MRX sells chipped ECU's on CB7Tuner, you may want to check him out, here's his thread.

it doesn't make sense to me why they can't. I dunno whats so different about them.. seeing theres a TMC so why can't they do the same.

IDK, I'm not real good with the ECU's. May be a good question to ask MRX on CB7Tuner. Is that who you talked to already or was it someone else?
