Default 94 accord with h22a

I am looking at buying an accord. It has a problem where it will not accelerate past 2500 rpms. It will downshift past that, but not accelerate. He says its the distributor because along with the distributor you replace the cam sensor. Could this be the problem? It has a 96 h22a engine on a f22?(whatever is stock) tranny with stock f22 ecu.

Could be a multiple of things. F22 ECU? Err that may be an issue, if nothing else the timing and fuel tables for the H22 are different from the F22. If the engine is just not accelerating there may be an issue with the catalyst/exhaust being clogged.

Sounds like a bit of a hack job of an engine swap. Unless the car price is worth its weight in parts, I would walk away.
