I dont think so by the looks of things and HYPER16VALVE motorworks builds motors that breaks clutchs https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif ...

I wanna say in Cali, a driver side mirror is req'd as is the inside rear view. I know for a fact though you can drive without a pass. side mirror. Next time i get the chance, im gonna check the vehicle code book.

Yeah, it's probably a State to State thing. I know the guys with '70s-'80s model Chevy trucks love to delete both side view mirrors.

Hey guys,

DC Sports B17a1 Carb header or OEM ITR 4-1 header + heatshields?

Knowing that I still need to get my motor Bar'd with whatever header I decide to go with.

i'd go with the itr if your not gonna be slammed, or you can use the ctr header with 2.5 inch flange like what im using

I thought it was pretty much standard to have a driver side mirror...could be wrong.

Yeah, just bought the header.

OEM quality ftw, but my only predicament was California laws regarding smog, BAR certification, etc. Oh well, I'm just going to buy a heatshield for it and hope that nobody notices https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...s/emsmilep.gif

Btw, OEM Cat outlet is 2.25", correct?

So pretty much I need a 2.5" flange for the inlet on the cat and a 2.25" outlet to mate up with my BC Spec II catback?

dc header is a good header
the cermic finish is crap though
I couple of Dyno results I have seen show that the DC 4-1 has more hp gains then the ITR header

I did not know that. So DC actually improved on Honda's design when they copied the JDM ITR 4-1 header? I was under the impression that they were pretty much the exact same save for a tad more ground clearance with the OEM ITR http://images.honda-tech.com/set1//smile/emcrook.gif

ranging from 2-3 ponies
enough to make a differene...I doubt it by itself but I guess it adds up with the proper mods

ITR has a 2.5 collector though, I think??

HatchMo Nov 16, 2008 07:46 PM

DC does not make more power than an itr.
