youve got one of the defective ones that are talked about. you cannot move teh 360 when the disc is in there at all or is will ruin your game.

seriously, the only way I've heard of that happening is if you move the xbox while the game is running.

While I was on a road trip I loaned a buddy my 360, he decided he didn't like it laying flat and wanted it to stand up, so moved it up while playing NFS: Most Wanted, after that the game would lock up and had the perfect circle scratch around the outside.

Disc repair machines will actually work for this. The best one's are the big standalone machines they have at some stores, but you can use one of the handheld ones and it will work too.

As far as the 1hr a day thing goes, lol....I had mine running for 8 days without shutting off as a stress test after I got it. Still works fine, not a single problem.

If you have a bad xbox they will send you a box to send your system in for free, and they promise to ship you one back within 4 business days. I've heard of a couple people doing it and MS came through on their promise

They will release a service pack that will screw it up even worse.

Like I said use a Disc Dr, or one of the disc repair machines. THEY WORK! I had the exact same thing happen, borrowed a friend's Disc Dr handheld repair thing, and the game works perfectly now.

use a small peice of chuck norris's beard. polishes even the deepest nicks out in seconds. its also good for buffing, sanding, and one of the ingredients to love potion #9

You can buy a Disc Dr or whatever it's called at any Wal-Mart, Best Buy, Circuit City, etc, basically anywhere that they sell DVD's or video games.

And no, it didn't scratch it again, the only reason my disc got scratched in the first place is because the system went from laying down to standing up while the game was running. The game that got scratched was actually the game that I played the least out of all the games I have. I mean I've played Project Gotham 3 for a good 40hrs now, and it doesn't have a single blemish.

I'm not sure how much they are, I think about $10, but they work damn good. I was a skeptic, I didn't think it would work, but it did. All he did is put the disc in with the fluid that comes in the kit, and then spinned it around in the machine for a few minutes, pulled it out and we tested it and it worked.

They've got big machines in some music/movie stores that you can use once for like $4. It does the same thing, but even better. This works with any disc, DVD's, games, music cd's, etc.

they have sleeves now that you can put your CD's in and Movies, I would imagine games too, that protect them. I dont remember the name, but there is a commercial with a white trash truck driver and some urban guy throws his cd out the truck window and then pops in a new one with some sleeve thing over it.

Is the laser lens actually touching the disc or is it the tray that leaves the scratch. This thing has poor engineering written all over it.
