B) taking a 500$ high interest loan out to put towards a 94 integra that had a mismatched bodykit and primer gray paint job
I've done that. rear brake cylinder exploded. Actually Rear drums brake wore down to bare metal and that caused the rear cylinder to extend beyond it's intended limit. And brake fluid shot out everywhere, leaving me without hydraulic brake pressure. Drove the car this way for a few days, kept a good distance between cars for safety.

I have also driven with bald tires because I was cheap to buy new ones and get the car aligned. Driving in the rain was scary, and eventually paid the money.

Poorest thing is browsing the classifieds at Rennlist.

Found someone selling some expensive car.
Stalked him for a bit... end up finding his garage with two 918s, two GT3RSs, a Ferrari F50, and a couple ferraris that are worth more than previously mentioned cars.
Come to find out his garage... yes, garage is over 7,000 sq feet nestled in some place called Beverly Hills.

Browsing Rennlist is such a mind $^&^%.

You see so many huge price tags that you start thinking $90k is a great deal for a car until you realize that is still like $1500/mo

My gym is in the upscale part of town. Lot is full of audis, rovers, mercs, etc etc. A couple weeks ago i saw a bright orange aventador pull out and it was in that moment i felt the poorest ive ever felt in my life. I actually thought to myself "what is it that that guy is doing that im not, to be able to afford something like that?" Then i spent my drive home in my grand marquus sulking lol

Watching the Superbowl on an inherited 13" TV balancing on milk crates while eating a concoction of top ramen, frozen mixed vegetables, and a chopped up polish sausage.

TV was color and belly was full. Good times.

I have a passing interest in F1 and when I was younger, I would walk a mile to the nearest supermarket to read the latest issue of R&T to read the results of F1 racing.

By the time the magazine hit the newsstand the results were three months old.

**** I get that thought often on GDD  aside from the income itself and how they got to such a big income, a big part of it is budgeting.

I know that. Quite a lot of people making 6 figures (flyover state dollars, not cali) are still living check to check because they have too much debt and crap. I always think to myself "man, if i made that much I wouldn't be blowing it on fancy houses/clothes/cars/junk"

I know of people who really aren't in a position to be buying $800-1000 phones who have them i'm still using a Galaxy S7 which I guess is a poor thing lol but I earn way more money than they do.
its often the guys who have no business doing so who are getting $300 bottle service in the club or something stupid.

I wish I had that many followers.

I don't have that many and half of my followers are some clothing sales profile from China. I have no idea where that comes from.

Hard for me to say ... because I just call these types of things frugality. ahaha

I can agree with that. I bought a 150$ walmart smartphone 2 years ago. Still works.

When I was a kid, my parents were barely able to really pay for groceries. The only time I was able to read car magazines were at the grocery store. I remember reading through SCC and Honda Tuning really quickly because we wouldn't be there for long. These cars are probably the only reason why I knew a world larger than my neighborhood existed.
