8:30am - 4:30pm - Work
4:30pm - 5:30pm - Commute home
5:30pm - 6:30pm - Help with dinner/eat

7:30pm - 8:30pm - Bathe/put kids to bed
8:30pm - 10:00pm - Laundry/dishes/clean up/pack kids lunches
10:00pm - 10:30pm - Relax in bed/TV/phone

If I told you, you'd be horrified.

I'm way too old for it. :-)

been waking up as late as possible lately. 7:30-9:00 is a free for all. sometimes I'm still at work, sometimes I go to a brewery, sometimes I'm doing chores.

5:45 wake up, coffee, shower
6:05 leave house
7:50 at work, shitpost on HT
5:00 (hopefully) leave
6:10 get home, run, cook/eat dinner
7:30 groceries, chores, work on house/cars, work from home, slam beers, etc.
9:00 start to wind down, read/TV/guitar until I'm tired
10:00-10:30 sleep

As a single dude in my late 20's I have no schedule outside of working from about 7:15 to 5 or so of late.

My time off of work is completely haphazard. Some nights I'll stay in & cook, watch some Star Trek and read a hundred pages of a book before nodding off at 10:30 or so.

Other nights I'll be out on a date until who knows or have someone over.

And still others I'll just wander over to a friend's apartment in which we will discuss the finer points of how much we both enjoyed Nickelback at age 11.

If I had to generalize:

6:15 - Wake up
6:45 - Leave for work (carpooling 4/5 days a week)
7:15 - 5 - Work
5:40 - Home
5:40 - 11 - Free Time
11 - 1A - Eventually work my way into bed.

@bauley how do the kids get to daycare, or is that included in your commute? some of my coworkers have to leave the house like 2 - 2.5 hours early to get the kids to daycare and get to work on time. and they're usually late. sounds brutal.

Wife does it since her commute is 30 mins vs an hour for me, but I help get them ready in the morning. Most days I'm helping her load them in her car and we both leave the house at the same time.

Got profiled hard yesterday. 3 white guy coworkers and I got into an Uber and the driver turned on a Nickelback song. Automatic 5 star rating.

So between work and your "commute", it accounts for 5 hours a day. And I spend 10.

I'm doing it very wrong.

0430-0500 Wake up / Depart for work
0500-0545 Commute
0545-245PM Work, do meetings or desk work most of day
245-330 Commute to Gym
330-430 Workout
445-730 Do whatever with kids / family. Formal dinner maybe once / twice a week, usually just my post workout stuff and feed kids whatever. Open play time inside or outside, reading, puzzles, etc. Make sure to get in 15 minutes of HW for my preschooler.
730-800 Kids Bedtime routine, baths / snacks / TV
800-900 or 930, open time with wife or alone time if she goes to bed early (sometimes she's in bed around 830)

Rinse and Repeat. I'm a very early riser and still get my 7 hours of sleep everyday, always energized but crash hard around 930-10PM at the latest.

You're a lot like my wife. You're happy where you're at and like the stability.. The fact there are WFH jobs that you could get that are 1. Less work and 2. Same or even increased salary doesnt appeal to you? I cant even get my wife to look for the WFH jobs that I know she could get if she tried.

srs. I was really interested in seeing everyone's schedules in this thread at first, but I think it's just going to make me want to quit my job.

There are few WFH opportunities in my field due to the nature of my work. I know of colleagues at other companies that WFH on occasion but it's something that they were given leeway for later on, versus it being mentioned in the job description.

My employer lets me WFH as-needed, I typically utilize it when I have work being done on the house or my kids are sick or things like that.

I worked from home for 3+ years. It's super nice and convenient, but the lack of human interaction got to me.

Yea, the IT world is going "WFH" as they realize how much $$ they can save not running a traditional office space. It's also a bonus because when your company allows WFH, it massively increases the pool of talented workers they can pull from as they can essentially recruit from anywhere in the world.

10am - Wake up (hey, my crypto trades on the international market have wisely payed huge dividends overnight, excellent). Think to myself how I haven't had to set an alarm clock for years and can wake up when my body prefers to, naturally.
11am - Get out of bed after being called by the previous days client thanking me for my work on their latest campaign (art has always been a hobby of mine)
12pm - Meet customer for lunch (they buy of course since they're trying to get me to come in as a consultant for their company, I'll probably hold out and see if they'll slightly raise their budget to meet my $800/hr rate)
1pm - Hop in my 1997 ITR and go for a spin
2pm - Hang out at the park, sit under my favorite tree and daydream (I'm the only working age man in the park, sometimes I forget there are still people who work 40 hours a week)
3pm - Work ("work") AKA my hobbies that I've grown into a multi million dollar industry
5pm - Finish work ('work")
6pm - Go to the gym
8pm - Come home, get ringed from the lunchtime client literally BEGGING me to come consult with them
9pm - Meet friends for dinner (fortunately I have a lot of friends because I have the time to maintain friendships instead of having to constantly cancel on them because my boss needs me to stay late to finish a report)
11pm - Return home and do some reading to nurture my mind and ensure I wake up refreshed, energized, and without drowsiness that requires me to douse my body in stimulants just to make it through the morning commute
12am - Fall asleep while mindfully telling myself "damn it feels good to be tron_......."
