Yes, mine is. Even the flat surfaces of the trim moldings and the bathroom vent grills. I even mop the garage floor once a month, and in between I'm on my hands/knees with a towel to clean stains from tires/other stuff every time it appears.

You vacuum and put designs in the carpet. You are not normal.

We used to. There was a charge for $150 I think for the initial "deep clean", then we paid $100 2x a month after that.

They got to the point of kind of half assing things, so we just went back to doing it ourselves.

I have mild OCD about it hahaha I do all of the above every two weeks. It's just easier to keep up with it that way. Granted I don't have a huge space to clean but I like that. I vacuum my garage!

If you have the time (AKA no kids), I recommend doing it yourself. During your day to day living, just put stuff back where you got them. Everything should have its own place/home. If you see something in the wrong place, pick it up and put it back. If something is dirty, clean it. Takes an extra few minutes per day. Then once a week just spend 30 minutes and clean. Keep doing that and the place will continue to be clean. If you let it go, it'll take you much longer, and then you won't want to clean.

Same with your car. If you wipe it down once a week, it will always be clean.

Then again, most people are just messy. So this probably won't work.

It also costs $22 to rent a carpet shampoo machine for 4 hours from Home Depot. That's enough time to do like 3 houses (that's what I did).

2k sq/ft, large backyard, 2 car garage. I'm about 8 minutes from the lake.

I simply bought at a good time, and got a good deal.

The rent in DFW is ridiculous, my mortgage is about $150 - 170 more than my last rent for an 881 sq/ft apartment. I really wanted it for the garage, and didn't want to pay the crazy rent that would net me a 2 car garage. I get kind of hosed on taxes though.

I think we use like 900 sq ft out of the 3600 in our house. I finally got her to agree to no upstairs today so $120 twice a month seems better than nothing. Got to slowly eat away at this

I'm a neat freak so my house is almost always clean. I vacuum, dust, clean, etc and I enjoy it. My philosophy is that if you do a little at a time, you never have to do a major deep clean. For example, if the stove top is used during dinner, it is always wiped down during clean up. It takes me an additional minute to wipe it down so why not?

I don’t think we would be opposed to it, based on what size of home and how many levels we get into. A fleet of Roombas and that would eliminate the floor cleaning and care of having two dogs.

Having a dog definitely makes the situation tougher. If I had a dog that sheds, I might consider a cleaner once a month. And a Roomba. I would like a Roomba now, but I can't get over the price so I'm still doing manual vacuuming and swiffering every week.

After having several, we thought we'd never find one that could clean the house as well as we could. The last one was a God-send that did the job even better than we could and eventually genuinely became part of the family. So much so that we'd spend Christmas Eve's together. She and her family moved away and we decided not to go through the hit and miss of finding a good, reliable, and not crazy housekeeper and just do the cleaning ourselves.

Gotta teach the kids work ethic somehow.
