Not quite the dual, but better than the current system.

It seems there's enough tire, power and aero to humiliate a lot of cars.

With massive front flaring, the spokes on the front wheel is concaved.

That's a wide bitch

Honda V10 titanium connecting rod. A hybrid H and I section design, which isn't out of the ordinary in F1.

But it is hollow.

Forced pin oiling would probably still be possible but all that weight would negate the advantages from a hollow rod.

Honda V10 intake system. Note the position of the telescoping intake track. Movement of about 50mm throughout the rev range. Lack of barrel throttles is surprising. But then again, it's under Ito so it's understandable.

Not really fond of either

Race Engine Technology Issue 054 May 2011

During the V10 era the concept of a lightweight hollow crankshaft was taken to the extreme by Cosworth, which welded it's production together. In 2005 Marmorini (ex-Ferrari F1 engine engineer, Director of engine development for Toyota F1):

"All of us are considering these strange ideas- it is part of out job. However, having small crankpins and a hollow crankshaft- these things do not like each other. Hollow is more logical when you have big pins. As we are using such hard material it is not so easy to make a hollow crankshaft. You could maybe use spark erosion but it would cost a fortune."
