Let's retitle it, office life isn't always bad.

I have become much less patient/more snappy at my current job. In the last 3 weeks I have told 3 people off, which is 3 more than in the previous two years.

I'm reaching my 30-month tenure soon, so I will be "offboarded" in July. Maybe that's why I'm letting loose a little bit more.

All these sayings annoy me, not to mention all the ******* acronyms people use. Been working in an office since 2011.

"moving forward"
"at the end of the day"
"from our perspective"
"for all intents and purposes"
"Regards"<<at the end of emails

I can go on and on. I'll update this at the end of the day

"For all intents and purposes" is much better than "for all intensive purposes"

That one is dangerous because the "t" key is so close to the "g"

Illogically protected personal areas of influence.

You waste way too much time going around somebody to find out something that you need to know.

And, sometimes...they're so offensive you have to roll over them.

It's a shame.

Ooo I'm a "Best Regards" kind of guy at the end of my emails. I think it's just being polite or showing I care more....which I do for the most part.

Now that I am not a BA anymore and have a leadership role at the tech department I feel like I am a lot less stressed out in many ways but way more stressed out in other ways. I at least don't have to deal with "The Business" and their horribly inept ways. That really frustrated me having to facilitate meetings all day, every day to rooms full of idiots who could not make decisions for the life of them. Now I just have to deal with employees bitching about everything and trying to find ways to keep positivity and morale up so that they stay productive while trying to perform the million other duties I have going on everyday.

I really feel like I need to get some certs and get back into the tech sector. Being 40 and not knowing what I want to do is getting scary

Honestly, nothing really. I like the office environment and I'm lucky enough to have decent co-workers I suppose.

ITIL is possibly the dumbest framework I've ever encountered in my life. I'm certified in it and braindumped immediately after class.

"let's table that"
"ham and egg"
"sidebar that one"
"I believe we have a quorum"
"who do we have on the line?" .... 5 second pause then 4 people blurt out their names at once then start over from scratch
"amazing quarter everybody, I couldn't be happier with our growth but we need to do better"

I really do hate this thread.

Any particular field you suggest? I am technical and can learn quickly. I was thinking about going for my CCNA but I know that takes a lot of time.

I'll look into some security courses thanks If you have any specifics though please let me know. Something that pays well too of course
