So the Russians got a Supreme Court Justice nominated. Guess we won't get a ******* do-over on that one.

Asshurt like still mentioning Hilary 5.5 months after the election and still having your anti-Hilary avatar up?

Quite the opposite, actually; asshurt like still trying, 5.5 months later, to concoct excuses as to why your team lost an election.

BTW not sure how someone I didnt want to win, losing, results in me being asshurt? Are you literally retarded or is my mental gymnastics game getting rusty?

Because you and many others' worldview is based around the idea that evil global elites control our every move and pull every string. Trump's election destroyed that narrative and your worldview, and you're just a shell of your former self now.

The first Russian institute document was a strategy paper written last June that circulated at the highest levels of the Russian government but was not addressed to any specific individuals.

It recommended the Kremlin launch a propaganda campaign on social media and Russian state-backed global news outlets to encourage U.S. voters to elect a president who would take a softer line toward Russia than the administration of then-President Barack Obama, the seven officials said.

A second institute document, drafted in October and distributed in the same way, warned that Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton was likely to win the election. For that reason, it argued, it was better for Russia to end its pro-Trump propaganda and instead intensify its messaging about voter fraud to undermine the U.S. electoral system’s legitimacy and damage Clinton’s reputation in an effort to undermine her presidency, the seven officials said.

IDGAF that my team won. I'm just glad Hillary isn't in there. People can cry in their frosted flakes on the daily in the trump thread and life continues to move forward.
2017 started off bad but gets better all the time. Ross will continue to hate the success people have had and still whine of the inequalities of life. Life continues to move forward. Rinse repeat.

Can someone actually explain what Hillary has accomplished as a politician? I'm having a hard time equating accomplishments with treason.

That's because you're desperately trying to make it seem like this is not a big deal and it's not working very well.

And what about all the republicans who have acknowledged the Russian involvement? They're just making excuses for Hillary too? Even the ones on Trump's team? And the FBI?

Or... is it possible that you're letting your animosity towards Clinton prevent you from seeing what's actually happening here?

One would think trying to influence election results and foreign policy of other nations is standard operating procedure.

I'm pretty sure if any of us were russian leaders, we'd do everything in our power to create a better relationship with the most powerful military and economic force on earth.

Right, because Trump is everything she is not.

I find it quite humorous that all these people use the "I'm just glad Hillary isn't in there" comment as an excuse for Trump. Dude is a ******* wreck and an embarrassment, but at least we don't have HRC right? By the way, what exactly has he done to "drain the swamp" since he has been in office? If he is impeached (which I don't think will happen), I would completely support a constitutional amendment banning anyone who voted for Trump from being able to vote EVER again because they've proven that they don't have the brain power to critically think.

I'm surprised by a couple of trends in this thread.

First, that people are still talking about Mrs Clinton whenever we talk about the Russian interference.

Second, that people apparently are willing to accept as a matter of course what is tantamount to a strategic attack on the interests of the United States.

It's not normal business. It will not be allowed.

It might take years, but there will be consequences and justice.

Do you really think that's their goal here? They conducted hacking and propaganda efforts against the US to try to create a better relationship? And we should be ok with that?

No matter who's in there we all lose. Unfortunately this is how I see it. Nobody in office has any tangible idea what the real world is like. They just dont know what reality is for the average person. They might think they are doing right by backing certain policies but they seem to miss the mark. So no matter if I think he's bat **** crazy or a genius I'm still glad it's not Hillary sitting in office. Whatever they decide isn't going to help me and I have no control over what they decide. I accept this as everyones reality.

I guess that's sort of true.

Putin never forgave Clinton for her hand in the Russian protests against Putin, and he was willing to do almost anything to keep her from becoming President.

Putin will always view Clinton as an especially dangerous enemy.

Fair enough. Still, I wonder why we do this to ourselves.

Point taken. I guess the point that I was trying to make is that Putin isn't acting out of friendship, he's playing dirty and he's hoping to benefit from unrest in the US no matter what the outcome of the election was.
