ugh give us something that isn't '12+ Si K24 with integrated exhaust manifold and 205hp that still dyno's the same numbers as the previous gen with a few extra torque.

the JDM S2K F20C engine was rated at 250hp all motor from factory. At least beat that. Or the K23-T from the RDX.

Honda might make the 2016 Honda Civic Si a Type R variant.

Just replace the Si badge with Type-R badge and CW paint. Basically same things. Will preorder.

Whatever configuration it finally comes ( if it ever does ) it will be expensive. I don't see this car below 30K in the USA and that's going to kill it. If it were the only game in town...maybe, but with the plethora of low to mid 20's turbo cars available today, it will be another expensive honda car, very much like the CRZzzzzzzzz.

And then Honda is going to wonder why it didn't sell as well as they expected and blame it on a lack of interest from the car buying public. That's what happened with the CRzzzzzzzz.

From my point of view, Honda and Acura have insisted on common sense in the face of an irrational public.

:-)

But doing that doesn't necessarily sell cars.

They've got a few winners. The TLX. Accord. MDX. It's turning around, sales-wise, slowly making inroads.

Dang, that's harsh.

But seriously, I looked at the TLX this past weekend. I'm not part of that crowd, yet. The WRX looks like crap and the Focus ST seems too small. If the civic R is any good, I'll buy one.

heh?

the crz is cheap at 20k?

also hard to compare the 2 when it is 100hp less and hybrid

close to 300hp and honda ill pay the 30k

One of the very, very few perks of getting old.

More interested in the next gen odyssey. Rather see them dump money into making a better Fit, CRV, etc

People still think $30K would be too much for a CTR? ITR's were going for mid 20's 16 years ago.

STI hatch goes for almost $40 loaded right?

I would get one for sure if it was AWD turbo... we know the AWD piece won't happen.

The 2 liter is going to be used worldwide but my guess is still at 225hp once it reaches our shores.

Would much rather have the new CTR than an Integra Type R.

Who could hate on a car that has an awesome Other Side R video?

Torsion beam, coffee with cream, skin tight jeans, I don't care. I think it looks cool and will finally be a Type R that can beat a Camry off the line.

Full of win to me.

It's rear is as ugly as the Civic's, so I would go with the Ford version first. 2.3l vs 2.0l. Civic will be cheaper and have FWD only though. So I think the Civic will be faster, but likely handle worse.

I like Civic Sis and wouldn't mind driving one.

I'd drive this.
It's even XTRAC approved. RIP man!
