you nailed it. And this is what I'm asking you. People didnt turn out for Hillary and they again think he is going to lose because of all the **** going on with him.

so if they didnt show up for Hillary, who do they show up for? I predict the near same results in 2020 as 2016. Sig this.

The second factor is weighted higher than the first. No one outside of his supporters believed that Trump would win so they sat home. They show up in 2020 against Trump, not necessarily for the candidate they're voting for. In 2016 they did neither.

so your logic is trump loses because his haters have expanded and show up this time regardless of the dem candidates position? This is an election where at the core, is hate?

2020 could be the first hate-driven election, and I'll get to see it. Neato.

You do realize that voter turnout in 2016 was the lowest it had been in decades. You guys are as delusional as Trump.

Voter turn out was at a historic low in 2016. Over 4 million people who voted for Obama sat it out, partly because they figured there was no way in hell that Trump would win. Fast forward to 2018, and voter turnout was the highest it had been for a midterm in almost 100 years with the Dems beating the Repubs by over 7 points, in quite a few key states that Trump must carry to win in 2020. People doubted Trump's ability to win and didn't show up. They're not doubting that anymore and they showed up in 2018 and will do the same in 2020. It's really not that complicated dude.

The numbers I have seen show 2016 at around 55.5%. Higher than 2012 but lower than 2004 and 2008. If I am wrong than I retract my statement.

If its higher than the last one, we may not want to call it lowest in decades :p

Good point but unlike a lot of people here, I will admit my error

My overall point still stands though. People staying home in 2016 gave the election to Trump. I don't think this will happen again in 2020.

Assuming he is running in 2020, which I have always sort of doubted.

You just admitted the "logic" behind your conclusion was wrong, then you doubled down...that you AOC?

Lol @ that chart showing the gop only got more votes in one out of the last 7 elections. No wonder they're clinging to the electoral college so hard.
