Bro...did you not see the results of the 2018 election? The right lost heavily in states that Trump absolutely needs to win again in order to prevail in 2020. All it is a numbers game at this point and if 2018 is repeated, Trump loses...bigly.

Gained seats in the Senate, and outperformed expectations in the house...I'm sure CNN told you it was a blue wave though.

The R didn't outperform expectations in the house. It went exactly as expected in both chambers.

Remember when you used to pretend to be a libertarian?

A Native American, MMA fighter, Lesbian unseated a long time incumbent republican in the US House in Kansas...Kansas.

No it was't a blue, and it definitely didn't go as expected for the Reps. Anybody guaranteeing anything at this point is full of ****.

I get that but it is very telling where he lost seats. As long as the Dems win PA (they will), Michigan, and Wisconsin, they win. It literally comes down to those 3 states and the 2018 midterms were not kind to the Republicans there.

Quit being dense. The only reason Trump won was because people vastly underestimated the absolute stupidity of a good chunk of the nation and stayed home. Nothing more. Nothing less.

I ask again, who is gonna beat trump in those places? You are all acting like the dems could run anyone and they win here. The second coming of Democrat Jesus Hillary lost but somehow in 12 months they are going to find someone even better to beat Trump?

You're vastly inflating Trump's victory in 2016. He didn't win because he was a great candidate. He won because of two factors - people were not energized about Hilary and they thought that Trump could never win because he is Trump. The second factor is the important one here because people now know Trump CAN win and as a result, they will come out in droves in opposition. That's exactly what happened in 2018 and I predict will happen again in 2020, regardless of the candidate. With that said, yes, the Dems need to get a candidate in place that can rally the base but honestly at this point, the biggest rally for the left is Trump himself.
