I'd get better memory. AMD processors love lower timings. If you aren't overclocking, I'd go with the stock Phenom cooler, its pretty decent. If you are overclocking, scrap the heatsink and get a better one. The power supply is good but kind of overkill if you aren't running multiple gfx cards.

Those are good parts if you don't plan to overclock. If you are going to overclock get 1333mhz + memory. Id also get a Cooler Master 212+ over the Arctic Cooling. It's slightly cheaper too.

Xigmatek Black Knight is the best air cooler you can get. and its fairly cheap.

do you have a monitor? what is this pc mainly going to be used for? you might be better off just getting the AMD phenom II 965. its 3.4ghz 4 core. and its slightly cheaper.

id also look for a cheaper hard drive. 60 bucks for 500gb seems kinda steep. ive seen them for 40 on newegg.com

The F3 he chose is a very good hard drive. I have it myself. It's a one platter HD, uses less power and runs very cool. The HD is very fast, I tested it and got 144 mb/sec read time with HDTune.

I paid $50 through Newegg.

Pretty nice setup. My build shares some of the same components: the 212+, F3, and the memory.

The memory does okay. I'd try and find some better, lower timing memory.

Might want to get some thermal paste too. The 212+ comes with some but it's not so great.

Looks like a pretty good build. You might want to check out slickdeals.net for some deals if you arent rushing your build. There was a 1TB Seagate Barracuda for $50 a few days ago. You can find a 500gb for $35-$40 if you wait a bit. Microcenter is also selling the CM 212 for $20. You can pass with that 1333 memory with overclocking but 1600 will give you more headroom. I have that PSU and it's pretty damn nice for $60.
