Good choice. We like ours. Wife was stoked because we pulled 29mpg average the entire trip down to Seattle even with traffic. She cares about those things, I do not. Above 20mpg and I'd say that's pretty good to me

But you wouldn't understand, you pre-ordered a Forester.

Just burned through 1000mi of fun filled miles @ mpg avg somewhere in the upper teens just for fun. Don't care enough to check real numbers, gas is cheap right now, let the good times roll!

You consider 28 MPG being wasteful?

Ive averaged ~16 since day one.

@Mark1.8T - Does your Lexus dealership do EasyCare warranties? There's a Lexus on the east coast that does so I figured I would ask.

We checked em out. The roundness of that body style just didn't feel right, I much prefer the aggressive lines of the facelifted W204 and so did the wife. Plus I think we would have likely leased at that point, and our local dealer wasn't very helpful so didn't really spend too much time in them.

This is the same dealer that I went to in hopes of driving a CLA45 AMG, only had the 250, and after glancing at it asked if I wanted to order the 45. Lol you can't even offer me a test drive, why the hell would I buy something I have never seen in person yet

I'm the opposite I actually like the exterior of it lol. The front end is bootiful and the interior is pretty sharp as well. Only thing I dislike is the rear end design but even then it's not too bad.

The interiors are substantially better on the new chassis. But with our AMG package, and the Sport+ interior, it literally resembles a 63 but minus the differing front seats. Which then made it kind of difficult to shop the C63 for myself because aside from being a coupe, there's minimal aesthetic differences aside from some more aggressive features based off the existing ones and the front bumper.

I will likely throw the C63 brakes on it for aesthetic purposes and eventually throw some more aggressive wheels on it to make it a little more original. Just got to make it through summer without buying a car, and then I will require the need to purchase something and can justify some more mods.

That's the thing. The point of making a comfortable living is that you don't have to worry about simple things like fuel consumption. If it's something you enjoy, you pay the tax, who cares. My wife's family are poors, they taught her to be frugal. We balance each other out. But prefer the finer things in life.

Do you want to be able to buy parts from autozone or have a separate bank account for repairs?

E63 AMG with a warranty no scare. V is nice, but it's still American so the fit and finish isn't going to compare.

Definitely E63, but depends on what year. They vary a lot.

This.

I never really understood all the love for the CTS-V. Yes, it has power and it is affordable like the M3. To me it is like a Mustang or a Vette. You can get the same power, but the CTS-V has the body of a more luxurious car around it. Import versions seem to have a better overall balance of everything.

I still wonder what I missed out on not buying a CTS-V wagon....rowing through gears and doing burnouts like a juvenile.

Kinda still want.

Your actual seat position feels weird doe, with the seat all the way down (how I like it) you can easily see over the front hood.

Feels like its a small engine bay/short hood, and it slopes down.
Yeah my 14 has decent power but I still think they need an extra 75 HP at least. I just miss the torque from TT V8 E550.
That how I drive mine as well in the lowest seat position possible and I can see over the dash without any problems and I'm a tree stump.

There's one available through GM's tagging program, a GM executive in Michigan has been driving it around for the last year or so, very close to returning it where it'll be available for purchase... much want.

What are your guy's thoughts on the '15 BMW 328? I've been eyeing it for a bit, seems like the 6 speed manual is almost non existence.
