A flat four does offer two distinct advantages over an I-4.

1. Lower center of gravity

2. Mass centralization (it's only two cylinders long when viewed from above)

Whatever. Maybe next time.

Because the car was really Subaru's baby; Toyota was just the partner they enlisted.

I considered a TRD SC for a while. But like $6,000 for 60 HP really doesn't get me too excited lol.

Right, but the chassis it was put into isn't exactly a world-beater. I'd say that they used a flat-four because it's what Subaru already had on the shelf.

I know. Toyota was being lazy even though we all know they could easily design something much better.

I remember the overwhelming amount of disappointment in GDD when the FRS/BRZ first came out, followed by another wave of disappointment when the "STi" BRZ was released as just an appearance package.

Wasn't fast enough for most. For $25K, they wanted 300hp.

Stupid schmucks.

It's lame

I even tried to get the Mrs. to look at one but she said for the money the quality was pretty poor.

It won't impress by simply sitting inside.

And for the low end torque/horsepower junkies, 200hp will be a let down.

Drove mine to go get bagel sandwiches for lunch today, didn't disappoint. Got pointed at by father son duo out front, even in its filthy state. Also got stopped and chatted with neighbor for five mins, ******* teased me about his SEMA connections again. Gonna inquire to see if his buddy who gets tickets annually would sell a pair to me on a year they don't go if it can work that way.

bout to drive it to da family hermosa beach house tonight, should be burning one on the sand by 1am woo! Will not feel fatigued after 5hr drive, it's a hoot on the track but a great grand tourer as well.

In serious window shopping fashion, I'm considering getting rid of the truck. Not because I want to start living within my means, but because I'd like to switch it out for a lsx c10 and just get a subaru daily beater/snow/rally toy. About to get a subaru beater and stop driving the truck so much anyways so I may as well get a less responsible choice of truck since all I ever use it for is furniture/homedepot runs/pulling boats. Classic c10 lsx would still fill that void without getting ruined. Should be able to sell a single cab dropped late model rado' for a premium, neighbor was jocking the truck as much can as the mustang.

i want MOAAAAR CARS!!!
