Still looking to trade a set for some silver 1200s, but everybody that offers has beat pairs. If you know anybody with a clean set looking to go black, lmk

That Alba photo is great. Looks straight out of the 70's...is she even holding that vinyl? Seems photoshopped.
Cerwin Vega's there nice.

I think the black ones look a lot better. Show less smudges and what not.

Agreed, just a grass is greener type of thing. First pair of techs I had were silver, sold to get black I just miss that classic look.

yup

1210 and 1200 are the exact same thing. 1210 just has a 110/220 selector and euro/us plug adapter.

Man, I had a TTM 56s for the longest time, sold it in 13 when they came out with the 61/62, bought a 61. Last year I ended up selling my back up 05 pro III, and bought a 56 like you have. I use it way more than my 61. It's just laid out perfectly, best 2 channel mixer ever IMO.

Order some with a new pcb already attached. It makes it easier. That way all you have to do is unsolder/solder the tone arm wires to the board. Be careful with the tone arm wires. They are super delicate and can burn or get melted easily.

There are tons of YouTube videos on how to do it as well, super easy. Hit me up if you have questions along the way.

Also, since you are going to be taking off the bottom of your table anyway, you might consider replacing your pitch fader as well. That's super easy too.

Starting slow.....

gf & I went to a local vinyl warehouse and picked up a few freestlye records

also, after deliberation and talking to the vinyl record store dude, he gave us the blessing to get the Audio Technica LP120 saying it's "the most economical and best made replica of the technics 1200s"

Nice. I hear those are pretty solid, but I don't have any experience with them. Like it so far?

Nice man before buying my 1200's I did a ton of research and I heard nothing but great things on those Technica's.

So far so good, build quality looks really great especially for the price point

Saving up to get another one, also looking at mixers

Any recommendations for mixers? Feature(s) to look for? etc?
