Default The Official Golden Era Cars Thread

I think we all have a fairly good understanding of what a Golden Era Honda consists of (for the most part), but what about other makes and manufacturers?

Please chime in and let's identify what the Golden Era is for the following makes (I'll update once we have a consensus):
  • Audi - Everything up until and including the B5 A4/S4/RS4
  • BMW - Everything until and including the E46 M3/E39 M5 with honorable mentions 2011 1M/E90 M3 (V8)
  • Buick
  • Cadillac
  • Chevrolet
  • Chrylser
  • Dodge
  • Ferrari
  • Ford - Everything up until and including modular Mustangs (Cobra)
  • Hyundai
  • Infiniti
  • Jaguar
  • Jeep
  • Kia
  • Lamborghini
  • Land Rover
  • Lexus
  • Lincoln
  • Maserati
  • Mazda
  • Mercedes-Benz
  • Mitsubishi - Everything up until and including the 2G Eclipse/3000GT VR4/Evos 8 & 9
  • Nissan
  • Oldsmobile
  • Plymouth
  • Pontiac
  • Porsche
  • Saab
  • Subaru
  • Toyota
  • Volkswagen
  • Volvo

The Golden era for Japan was really the 90's in general.

Mazda had the RX-7 and the Miata out. Toyota had the Supra, MR2 and Celica All Trac Turbo, Nissan had the 300ZX TT and a classic Maxima IMHO and of course Acura had the NSX and Integra.

I think the Golden era for Ferrari would be every decade except the 70's.

I saw one up close before, it was this light blue color and it was so cool. With the Lambo doors and that 90's look at me look, can't go wrong.

I really made this thread for the Ferrari, Porsche and Lambo discussion tbh.

But I am genuinely curious as to what would be a Golden Era car for the others.

For example, the G8 GT/GXP holds tremendous value and is far outside the 90's era.

I think Tesla's golden era was the Model X because of the doors and that was also before elon called a person who saved a child's life a pedo.

Is the Golden Era for other makes larger? For example, you could say every BMW after the E46 & E39 are not Golden Era BMWs.

Audi was Golden Era right up until the B6 chassis, when it became bloated.

MB...?

Mitsu really killed it in japan in the 90s. Evo's, FTO, GTO/3kGTVR4, Gallant Vr4, Eclipse GSX/Turbo, im sure im missing others...

I would argue Ford is in their Golden Era now. Fiesta ST, Focus RS, GT350/GT500, Raptor truck, Mustang GT 5.0 is amazing, the lincoln brand is making some solid cars.
