All those automated machines need systems management, so my job is looking up.

Bring it on, the more robots the more programming is needed.

I support QA for those robots, bring on the robot Armageddon, I’ll make sure they’re on target and operating at optimal performance.

I'm in automation, so unless I automate automating my automation automations, no scare.

Same here!

Also I run a few scripts to automate the redundant stuff in my work. This saves me from manually doing it!

I think that within our lifetimes, we'll see that there are only enough jobs out there for 5-10% of the population. ****, right now we have 3x more unemployed people than there are job listings. There's simply no stopping it. It will be pretty interesting to see what happens when there's no work for 95% of the population. Sure doesn't sound very safe...

I work for a OEM. All we make is high speed automation equipment. It's been an extremely busy year.

If you know anything about PLC's, drives or programming you'll be set for a long time coming.

I remember thinking about going into industrial psych but not many schools had a program just for that. Is that source even reliable?

Kinda nice 2 of the careers i'm thinking about is on that list, but unfortunately they do not make much money for the amount of schooling needed

When robots will be doing most of today's "human" jobs, it will just mean that anytime a human actually raises a finger to do work, it will generate 10000?x more money. In fact, when ALL human jobs are taken by robots, 100000000???x more money will be generated while we do NO work. It's not necessarily a bad world to live in, it's just a question of who all this money will go to. If governments do their jobs right, it will mean that we'll all be chilling on the beach or partying or racing cars or whatever the hell we like, while the robots pay for it. I, for one, welcome such a future.
