If companies wanted to, they could submit products for testing, even swaps like his. It's just easier and cheaper to slap an 'offroad use only' sticker on it.

My wife JUST said I could get an exhaust bypass last week and now this.

Probs will do it anyway.

No carb exempt part will change the fact that mazda didn't produce the engine.

Because people don't swap Chevy engines into cars and bar them, right?

It doesn't. It may have before when I last looked but it the website says the rules have been revised. There's nothing in there keeping someone with a k swapped miata from using a header that utilizes all the stock emission sensors that I see.

All I really see here is people who don't live in the state complaining about laws which don't apply to them.

Absolutely do it! Like I said....they're not looking for the baller *** exotics. They can't even tell what a mod is or isn't on those cars....they're looking for "pleb" cars with mods.

I just got pulled over for "following too closely, not using my signals, and weaving in and out of traffic" Cop was pissed.

Lucky for me he was a highway patrol on city streets, cause my reg expired 11 days ago and I had the HK on me. He gave me a firm warning and let me go.

Chalk another one up for the white guys.

Lols, it is a combination of a joke/real thing. "If you buy that thing, you can't mod it." Same with my bike. "If you buy a new motorcycle, you can't buy another one for 15 years." So what you're saying is the next time I can buy a bike, I'll be 55 years old? "Yes".

She knows my habits with cars and bikes. I go through motorcyles quickly. I went through 4 in the time I knew her. I spent like $1500 on cases for my prior bike, then sold the bike. Same with cars, I don't keep them that long so spending money on it is a "waste". I get it...sorta.

Yah I definitely will. Plus I don't drive it around a ton or floor it everywhere. I'll be fine. They look stock anyway...sorta. Dual 4" tips.

OEM on top, bypass on bottom.

whats being highway patrol have to do with anything? Unless CA has some dumbass law about it they can ticket you anywhere. Local C&C page was crying about NHP watching a city street and giving out tickets. Totally legal

Only in unincorporated areas AFAIK

Like I'm sure they can stop a murder or whatever, but I don't think highway patrol are supposed to be giving out No Signal tickets on city streets.

I'm already valved from the factory. This bypass system retains it.

I have a button inside where I can open/close them.

BTW, the next time you guys get pulled over, when the cop asks you for license and reg, look at them sand say "my wallet is in my back pocket, do you mind if I reach for it? Then say my reg is in my glovebox, can I grab it?"

Sounds stupid doesn't it? Try it, and watch the cop's entire demeanor change in front of your eyes.

I have talked myself out of literally countless tickets this way. My old buddy who was a cop told me about this, and it works like 90% of the time.
