Default My trip to France

Iíve been up for over 26 hours, exhausted but running on 5 shots of espresso and more pastries than any normal person should eat.

Started exploring the neighborhood but my leg muscles started cramping up after two hours so Iím back at home base.

Need to rest for about an hour or two then head on out for dinner.

Your hotel room doesnt look like it used to be part of an old cruise ship, so you're off to a good start. Weirdest hotel rooms i've ever been in were in France.

It was drizzling when I went out, the only person walking around in a t-shirt. But the reason I left the camera at the hotel is I’m just too tired to take pics.

Did the pics in the first post resize OK, what size are the pics?

The pics are fine except they of an airplane and decent hotel room.

Go visit Notre Dame already!

Iíd like to see it on Bastille Day some time. They hang a very large French flag and it looks so damn cool, but you have to endure the summer heat and the summer tourists.

Very cool plane, my first time on one. A shame they are going to cancel it soon. Four engined planes are out of fashion.

Yup, I live in Quebec and went to school in French. You'll probably get by just fine in English if you're in Paris.

I learned some of the most basic phrases, most importantly:

please

thank you

excuse me, do you speak English?

They say if you initiate the conversation in French, they will make an attempt with the little English they know.

Otherwise, theyíll just say no.

Trip to France...and you post 3 pictures. One of a plane and two of your hotel room. No commentary.

You need to get on the shamoo trip documenting tip.

I went two years ago, loved it! You should consider going to Monet's home/garden in Giverny, it's less than an hour outside of Paris via train

Most memorable moment of the trip, watching a French police officer beat up a group of gypsies in front of the Eiffel tower
