Default The Mandalorian (Disney+)

Whose bodies are ready for this show? Disney+ exclusive release on Nov 12.

The Mandalorian is an upcoming American space-opera web television series that is scheduled to premiere on Disney+ on November 12, 2019.[1] Set in the Star Wars universe created by George Lucas, the series will take place between the events of Episode VI – Return of the Jedi and Episode VII – The Force Awakens, and follows a lone Mandalorian gunfighter beyond the reaches of the Republic. Jon Favreau served as a writer, creator, and showrunner for the series, and will executive produce alongside Dave Filoni, Kathleen Kennedy, and Colin Wilson. The series stars an ensemble cast featuring Pedro Pascal, Gina Carano, Nick Nolte, Giancarlo Esposito, Emily Swallow, Carl Weathers, Omid Abtahi, and Werner Herzog. There will be eight episodes in the first season.[2]

Disney+ is priced competitively as well.

I was hard core on the original 3. Then I adopted the new 3. I'm a big fan of the "standard 6." The standard 6 by Lucas.

Any Star Wars movie will automatically get my money. But I'm starting to feel everything is watered down. Yes, there are stories in each. But IMO, the story ended.

Is it wrong for me to comment on something I've never seen? But I can, because they already have my money..so I am a fan.

I don't know about Disney's new streaming service. When I "ended" cable, I was suppose to save money. I'm now on two paying service. Do I need to add a third? Maybe I should go back to cable. I'm spending a lot on TV that I don't watch.

I think that's the point. They're trying to expand their market to kids and neckbeards.

I'm good with this. Since the 'first' star wars was episode 4, it was natural to have 3 before it. I think it was a little too far apart, but IDK. That Pod Racer game on Nintendo 64 sparked my interest in the new star wars movies as a young kid (episodes 1-3). The standard 6 by Lucas are fine. That Ewok series in the 80s was ok too (watched tapes of it growing up in the 90s). Anything after that and it's a hard pass from me.

They own Fox Films too.
I`ll be subbing to Disney for 7 bucks a month.

Or you can sub to ATT with their shitty platform with exclusives from DC Comics and GOT spin-offs. The executives behind GOT left HBO, btw

I don't anything about this but Disney+ is supposed to have all of the old Disney **** too right? If so, I hope it has a show called "So Weird". I loved that show as a kid.

That`s why I think Disney will do well. They have some much stuff in their vault not available elsewhere they can capitalize on.

I see this is now true. Corporation are smarter than the average guy. So that was the plan all along. It's all winning for them, including the cable companies. A cable package now sounds pretty good now.

Watching TV is suppose to be a passive activity. You turn it on, and watch. One should not have to think about what to watch, search what to watch, and then select what to watch.

Their profit margins are higher with cable not with OTT. Companies are banking on ad revenue to slightly offset that loss. Netflix dsirupted the traditional cable business model now companies have to adapt to that to stay afloat.

With OTT, you get what you want, unsub and sub again as you please. This is as ala carte as it gets right now.

That`s how it`s done. Most ppl will leave HBO Now as soon as GOT is done. You seen all that garbage they were previewing before the first ep aired? Yeah nobody is sticking around for those.
