I always wondered why people felt the need to put laser sights on their markers. The gun isn't really accurate enough to take advantage of it.

Don't be a noob, its not a laser sight, its a red dot sight.

Unscrew the cap on that top turret; should be a CR2032 battery.

meh. whatever. the point still stands. a red dot sight isn't going to help you hit anything. it's paintball gun rice.

i wasnt asking about whether or not it was worth it or made a difference in your shot i was just asking how to use it.

i bought it used with the marker and i have it so might as well put it to use right?

it may help speed up target aquisition.

Have you ever used a reddot optic on a rifle? They are not meant for precision shooting, but instead for quick target aquisition.

Also, while some consider lasers to be firearms "rice", I do think that they do have their place. For point and hip shooting scenarios, lasers provide a quick reference of where a shot is going to go. I personally have a Crimson trace grip on my S&W 642 and have found it useful for short distance shooting.

We are discussing a paintball gun, not a firearm.

whats the numbered revolving indicator supposed to adjust, sensitivity?

again ive always had the sight on the marker just never got batteries for it or ever used it. so i dont know anything about it.

One of my buddies who's big into scenario ball has a red dot on his A5. He let me borrow his marker for a week or two to mess around with. I enjoyed using the red dot for target shooting in the backyard - it was accurate enough to be worthwhile. Useless in speedball.
