no no no no

absolutely read the Song of Ice and Fire books instead of Wheel of Time. The WoT is the most generic, rehashed, cliche fantasy story ever and supremely stale. Anyone I've ever met or spoken to who has a clue about good books would absolutely put this series ahead of WoT.

Trust me, these books are very good.

The Dark Tower is great, though. Mostly the first two books, but you sort of feel like part of Roland's Ka Tet after those and can't help but continue

It's crazy how much Arya looks like she could actually be Catelyn Stark's daughter in this. Anyone else notice that? They did very well on casting. Plus Arya was always one of the better characters in the story.

Who? The little girl that likes playing with swords? I have difficulty putting faces to names with this show besides the main characters. I'm still going to watch every episode.

yeah. if you watch them speak and react they make the same faces.

And about your comment from the first page. HBO is definitely not spicing things up, the books get quite a bit more detailed about the sexual escapades...

hopefully you read very slowly, because George R.R. Martin is going to take about a dozen years to come out with the next book. The old geezer.

I love this new series!

I find that the guy who play in the Lord of the Rings and is the Lord of Winterwell is awesome at these roles!

yeah they don't make an appearance again for quite awhile I think? Like end of second book, or maybe in the third??? which would be one or two seasons away if they stick relatively close to the book storylines...

Great series so far. FWIW, episode 7 can be seen right now on HBO GO and it's pretty good.

Treachery everywhere.
