Is it weird I don't even want a politics thread anymore? lol

We're not convincing one another so what is really the point?

So we have missing machines in Detroit. They're turning voters away in Gwinnet county GA due to "technical difficulties". In Wake County NC, it's "too humid" to count votes.

Hmmmm….

They gave me two forms this morning. I guess it's just habit to let everyone vote multiple times here in Chicago.

it's okay though. they can just go to the next town over, where the citizens voted against it last year, but the government allowed it anyway.

Subforums are stupid. People who don't like the topic can exercise self control and not click on threads that don't interest them. If someone needs a subforum to keep them from reading threads they don't like, they've got no self control anyway. We shouldn't have to accommodate that.

We manage to have decent discussions in these threads...not often, but it does happen.

No, we're not, but there are good news tidbits in here that I'd otherwise likely miss. So the thread is useful, in a way...

I don't get what locking the old thread is doing when someone just creates a new one. What's the point?

Maybe we need sub-subforums. We can have a liberal forum, a conservative forum, a forum for people who don't like politics but talk about them all the time anyway, a hopeless cause, AKA GJ, forum and maybe even a complete crazy person forum to house members like JB and IWM. That way nobody has to be exposed to things they don't want to see but can't help reading anyway.

Pretty soon we'll be just like Facebook.

Agreed but we definitely need to learn to be more respectful. We can set the example.

it’s the bell ringing signaling the end of the round.

New thread starts and people’s blood pressure is down enough for them to converse without threatening each other.

Rinse repeat for 2-6 more years.

I love how people get so heated and angry on a ******* OFF TOPIC FORUM OF A HONDA MESSAGE BOARD they get thread after thread locked because of bickering at the lowest form

Some of you seriously need to learn to let go of things. That's not a stab at anyone or an insult it's an actual ******* suggestion.
