Default Favorite City in USA

The travel thread and recent conversations got me thinking...what is your favorite city in the USA? I searched for another thread and could not find it.

Mine is hands down San Diego. Nothing even comes close to me in regards to weather, attitude, food (Mexican) and beer. I spent so much time down in PB, North Park and South Park when I was in college and to this day I think it's close to perfect. Portland OR and Boston are also up there on my top favorites. I could probably live in Boston if it weren't for the weather and fucked up roads.

Depends on context. Weekend debauchery with the boys? Vegas. Family vacation? Hawaii. Place to visit? Boston, New Orleans, Charleston.

Austin is ours, hands down. We use to go annually prior to this whole kid thing.

Without question, Keystone, Colorado. Best memories of my life up there - especially in the summer.

Finally got to visit CO in the summer for the first time this yr. Mountain biked at Keystone and did an overnight rafting trip on the Upper C. Saw the milky Way for the first time. Was lit

Been as far north as San Francisco, northwest as Lake Tahoe, east as Las Vegas and south as San Diego.

I need to get out more.

Oh nice, that sounds amazing! It's just so peaceful and pretty up there. I've always had yearly traditions with my friends going up there several times throughout the summer and always on my birthday to partake in similar activities.

Definitely! I've had some good times back in the day both in OB and Garnet in PB.

After having played Spider Man, I’ve gotta say NYC. But LA a close second. LA’s got restaurants and clubs, beaches, and hills. And an hour away from the mountains or the desert.

It's hard to decide a favorite city because it all depends on the circumstance. If I had to pick one because of enjoyment, I would say Los Angeles. That may surprise many. One of the best times I had was in L.A. But I think that's because of the people, and what we were doing, at that time. Other times, I've been in traffic driving, by myself, and wondered WTF.

For every bad city, there's something good, and every good city, there's something bad. Which side of the street you decide to walk on changes your entire perspective.

I would agree with this, but I do think there are definitely cities that edge out others in many ways.

It really depends on the purpose of the trip, but I love Vegas.

NYC is pretty cool too. Living there was an awesome experience.

Wut lol.

Agree with San Diego. I was pleasantly surprised with San Antonio too. I haven't been many places though.

I quite enjoy DC and Boston especially. Boston is pretty awesome, aside from the weather.

San Diego is tops for me. By far.

San Antonio though? LOL! I find that all of the major cities in Texas are lacking that character that make them unique. They just seem like giant concrete sprawls.

The canal walk and zoo were nice. Lots of nice neighborhoods and such, and the food was out of this world.

Austin seemed to be much greener but it was too crowded for my taste. I live in traffic I don't need that **** when I'm traveling. San Diego is a nightmare too but at least you're on the ocean.
