Anybody else seen this? I just finished watching the first 2 episodes. Bisi happens to be in ep 1 with his 1000+hp Honda Odyssey.
The idea behind the show is to take 1 supercar and race a standing 1/4 mile against 4, well, non-supercars. I don't know if you can generalize what you would call the other cars but in the show they keep referring to them as sleepers. There is no way some of these cars are sleepers, they would not look or sound like they do.
The first episode supercar was a Ford gt, the second a Lamborghini Huracan. Well, watch it for yourself. All I know, if they called me I would bring out a single digit car.
I use to think that when I was 17 about 'OMG my crx with some mods can keep up with xxx car"
Now I realize I was a dumb ricer and would much rather have the nicer car. I will still try to watch it when bored assuming the people in the cars aren''t retards.
I lost interest after the 2nd episode but just watched the races at the end.
Spoiler alert(if anyone cares)
The winner is a kid that couldn't afford to buy his own super car nor was able to build one on his own. What a shitty show.
I actually like the show. Everyone had a pretty cool backstory and they were are all car people. Whether you agreed with their vehicle choices or not, it was interesting to learn about the people and their builds.
Yeah the guy that won didn't actually own his car, but he is a big part of the car community and I think that was the point of the show. The show was about the car community as a whole. I think they just threw in the sleeper vs supercar angle to keep things interesting.
This show sucks ***** so bad. It was so annoying hearing all these low lifers explain what a sleeper is and so gratifying when I saw they would loose horribly to the supercar and then belt out all these excuses. I went through the entire season in about 10 minutes, each episode comprised of going all the way to the end to watch the "sleepers" get dusted.
Never seen the show but one thing I hate about some comments is you go to a race track to race and get your *** handed to you and you hear the "I get to drive home with AC ****". Dude you are going to a race track and competing, I don't care if a clapped out CRX kicks your *** and you drive a Ferrari with A/C that looks badass and you get a 1000 chicks, you got your *** kicked at the race track plain and simple.
The excuse that you get to drive home with A/C and your Ferrari is nice and clean as F**K sounds just as bad as any ricer BS.
Let me say this, if someone gave me a Ferrari I would sell that car ASAP and instead of having an 8 second Honda I would build a 6 second domestic and buy a nice DD vehicle, probably a nice truck. The rest of the money would go into my account.
Now if I was rich as F, maybe I would get one to have one but other than that I don't really care.

I wouldn't. Driven 360s to 458s and they're intoxicating. I wouldn't underestimate their allure.
I'm half way through the episodes, and still watching. So far the only semi Japanese car is a colt with 4g63 swap, he said it run 9's. And of course the odyssey. I respect those builds, along with most of the domestics. There are a couple domestics that are not DIY, the driver did not build and tune the car. On a show like this that should be a prerequisite, right?
The guys with the biggest ricer mentality are the supercar drivers.
I've noticed lots of gracious losing, always nice to see.
