Enough for what?

They'll continue to sell like gangbusters, maybe less with the increased competition. Still sell well enough to put off a newer drivetrain option for a few more years (10) lol.

It's not enough for me to trade mine in BUT Carplay was the #1 feature I was pissed about giving up. I look at the Taco as being a 10-15 year truck and Carplay/Android Auto would help it not feel so dated.

I really wanted a full retractable rear window like the Tundras, now that could have pushed me over the edge.

Always thought the Taco-ma was cool. If I was in the market for a pickup I would seriously consider it.

This!

I don't know what Carplay is, but I'm not about to look it up because it might make me want it, and I'm keeping this damn truck.

It's essentially bringing your iPhone to your infotainment system (Android Auto does the same for droids). So think about apps like Spotify, Waze, Google Maps, Audible, etc. This allows auto manufacturers to get out of the infotainment business and offload the continuous updates and improvements to the smartphone's OS and 3rd party app developers. It was my biggest hangup when switching to the Tacoma and the entune system.

Hopefully some people will figure out how to retrofit the updated head units.

same motor as last, if it sells, if it supplies the demand, if reliability has been their #1 priority then good for them.

Help me understand the hangup on this? I have to look at and drive my Tacoma daily and don't even notice. I'm only reminded of it on here.

Ah, I don't really use any of those others but Google maps would be nice. The built-in nav sucks!

Maybe they should have collaborated with GM and rebadged a Sierra?

I just like to joke about cost savings on a $45k compact truck with a 15 year old motor

toyota literally examined every bolt and improved the driving dynamics even though all the part numbers are the same

If it isn't broke? I suppose if people stopped buying the damn things, but that isn't the case.

The D4S is pretty new, no? Do you mean the 2.7L? I'm kind of glad Toyota still offer the 2.7L. Yes, I did test drive a DCB 4 cylinder 2WD and it was ok. I'm a fan of that engine because of the tilt, like the old Plymouth (Dodge) Slant-6 engine. That's engineering geometry.

This is the reason why I had to pass on the Tacoma twice. It didn't matter if it was new or used. At the end of the day, it was just too much money.

I don't know if I liked the motor in the old one better or if it's just an ECT vs MT issue, but the lack of any type of response is brutal. You can touch the pedal to the floor and pull back off within a couple seconds and literally nothing happens. Also just feels like the engine/trans combo in my new one was made for a car vs. a truck.

I think I'm just not used to new cars.

If they rebranded a Sierra they'd probably just torque the bolts to spec and remove the Propofol tablets from the cup holder to get a leg up on GM

They released a TCB that the dorks on TW said remedies the problem.

My '18 hasn't been bad, but I've definitely noticed it a few times. Mostly with highway cruising where there's rolling hills, engine starts to bog and then it drops 3 gears and the kid starts crying. But turning on ECT has seemed to help.

In retrospect, I regret not getting the MT. I could see being coerced into moving to a 2020 for the little updates + MT though.

Honest question:

What is wrong with rear drums? They last forever & are cheap. It's a truck, not a 911.
