Well there was a vehicle on fire with the horn going off. Would you as a firefighter risk to stand in an enclosed area with the potential of a gas tank explosion. Not to mention who knows what is on the other side of that fence.

Can`t fault those firefighters but props to the dude for going in there to rescue his dog. I`d do the same for mine.

All of the furs and floofs must be saved at all times.

Both actions were appropriate. Looked like he was getting immediate attention by an EMT or similar once he was back out from the house. Non issue.

Do you guys think that by the year 2219 a pupper will be able to save a human if they get trapped in a burning arby's or something??

I mean, the building is on fire...their job is to run into it. you think it might be a meth lab on fire with propane tanks inside but yet they are scared of the car on fire? I dunno. mixed feelings about this. they are supposed to save lives. dude could have been arrested after the fact but they should have followed. its their damn job. even the fat one that pops up about midway.

Looks like a pitbull ******* dog probably started the fire surprised it didn't attack any of the firemen

I get that the FD might have regulations that they don't risk their lives unnecessarily unless it's a human, and I would not be surprised that if you go back into burning structure that you're on your own, but come on, at least hose down the area that he's going into, give him a bit of a chance....

I would do the same without hesitation. No one would stop me. Good for that man stepping up for the dog when it needed him most.

Spraying water could have made it worse. That's a lot of pressure and flow, it could have easily knocked him down and made it a lot harder to get out. Props to that man, I would have done the same

Or knock down debris on him causing injury/death and get sued.

i agree with this.
a firefighter isn't going to risk their life to save a pet. a human, yes, not a pet.

good on the dude for running in there and saving his dog. not the wisest decision, but good on him for doing it.

x2 with CB

I'd rescue a random dog 10 times out of 10 vs some random person
