Nice. I was trying to adopt a French when I received the current English. One fun fact that I’ve learned about my new dog is she’s part hulk. Put her in the crate twice this week, broken out both times. Second time she bent the bars about 6-7 inches so she could sneak out under the door.

”no one puts daisy in the crate”

Hello! the thing about puppies is that they require much less exersize than adult dogs keep that in mind that puppies easily fatigued! usually I would take my dog outside every two hours to the "bathroom" lol an my dog had to earn the right to free rome the house it learned to pee outside to be out an about in the home.

What up doggo friends...today is my turds 10th birthday! This is a huge feat for her as she was the runt, and was only expected to live 8 years! She still acts like a puppers.

At a friends house for her bday! She ran all day!

Throw back to when she tried to die. She got pancreatitis, and was at the emergency vet for over a week, where they told us to say our goodbyes. We promptly said **** that, this was 5 years ago! Missouri University Vet Hospital saved her life!

Puppers Tila Belle

We are those crazy dog people who have a Insta for our dog Feel free to give her a follow lol

I'm half retarded and not hip on how to link instagram (Read: too ****** old to know all this new fandangled ****)

Edit 2: looks like it worked anyways

Yes we agree!! Dumbass Emergency Vet. What was happening:

She got sick, and was throwing up everything she ate. Her Pancreas was shutting down. So we'd take to our normal vet during the day, they'd give her fluids/food via an IV. Then we'd have to pick her up at 5, take her to the emergency vet, where they'd continue that fluids/food via IV. She declined throughout the week, and got very lethargic. Our regular vet told us it, it was time to say our goodbyes. A lady at my wifes work told us about the Vet program at the MU hospital, where they do experimental things. Only catch, costs $3k. We didn't care. Wife picked her up from the vet promptly after a quick conversation with MU and said get her to them ASAP. Wife called and said she didn't have for me to see her before they left. She was there for 3 days, and came back home. Basically the Emergency Vet and our vet were starving her, so she was throwing up her food. Their protocol was no food for 24 after she threw up. She got to MU, where she threw up again. They gave her food, threw that up, ate again. She started retaining her food and getting better. Labs starting to look better, they released her 3 days later to my wife.

She had her near death experience 5 years ago, and hasn't looked back! We are soo thankful to the team at Missouri University. They really did save our dogs life.

Some people we tell that story to, are like wtf you paid $3k for a dog...wtf is wrong with you. I ****** hate people like that. Our dog is our family, and we'd do anything and everything for family.

That's awesome. I'd do the same. Good on you two

Did MU even give her any meds that a vet couldn't give her?

Not that I recall, other than IV drip to keep her hydrated. After about 2 days, she was eating and drinking on her own. Pancreatitis is not to be played with. Basically was shutting her organs down, that's why she was so lethargic. She's full of spunk now, 5 years later. She eats prescription dog food, and drinks filtered water. RARELY gets any treats, other than frozen green beans, as our vet suggested. She just can't do normal dog treats as they upset her stomach. Takes her about 3 months to go through her $28 per 8lb dog food. She's not a big eater, she eats about a cup every 2 days.

Correct, technically University of Missouri College of Veterinarian Medicine.

Hands down would do it again, no matter the cost

That's a common theme around my house. My Pitbull has ripped the dog crate door off the crate itself to get out before...it's currently back together and I've reinforced the entire crate with industrial zip ties. We'll see if it holds.
