Whether in motion or at a stop light, do you use your cell phone?

I used to.....but I haven't done it in years. In an emergency I might for a few seconds. Pretty much every car in the last decade has bluetooth and streaming music. Use it.

But it is so obviously when someone is dicking around on their phones on the road. They drift/swerve all around their lane and if they're on the highway they also suddenly change speed (slow down a bit). If you think you can do it well, you can't. I can see it from 1/4 mile away who's on their phone vs. who isn't.

So yeah, I hate it. Don't do it.

I got a ticket a few weeks ago because I was stopped at a red light and I picked up my phone to change the Pandora station I was on. Put the phone back down, the light turned green, and the ******** cop behind me flipped on his lights. He told me I'm not allowed to even touch my cell phone at a red light.

You know what is legal to do while driving? Write a letter longhand. You can also yell at your kids, adjust the stereo, **** with your AC, eat McDonalds, and do a million other things, but my touching my phone at a red light costs me $300. Meanwhile every single day I drive home I have to honk at the ******* in front of me on their phone sitting at the green light.

Super rarely.
I don't need to be "in the know" all day. I have no problem waiting until I get to my destination.
(I am old enough to remember the days where we had to get home to check the answering machine... man do I miss those days.)

Pulling over to the side of the road is super easy for me to do when I feel the need.

It's car dependent on whether or not I "use the cellphone". If I'm in the Type R, Car Play handles everything pretty well. If I'm in one of my cars that only has Bluetooth or AUX connection, it depends on if I'm wearing my Apple Watch or not to determine whether or not I'm actually using my cell phone (to skip the track usually).

As far as texting goes, I don't do that while actively driving. A red light is a different situation, all though I am always conscious of the lights as I refuse to hold up traffic behind me at the change to a green light, as my blood boils when others do this to me.

Basically, if I'm using my cell phone while driving, other drivers will not be affected.

Never. I typically don’t like talking to people anyways, and when I’m driving, it’s like my alone time to think and just enjoy cruising.
Also, if anyone here texts at a stop light and doesn’t notice when the light changes green, Id like to kick you in your kidneys.

Why text and drive though? Genuinely curious if they’re casual conversations or issues that need to be addressed urgently.

Because it's not that hard to do and I need to be readily available to coworkers and customers. Pulling over to answer every text, phone call, or email to quickly resolve an issue or answer a simple question is not an option when I'm on the road for hundreds of miles a day.

Driving is a full focus activity, otherwise, you're a gambler. Even at 30 mph the few seconds you cheat, you could kill or maim someone else's child.
Sorry, but that makes you very self centered to gamble with others lives.
