Default Do you do your own resume or pay to get it done?

Do you do your own employment resume or pay someone else to do it for you?

Please supply an example of a good resume if possible.

SRS q

do you ask for the resume writer's resume before you let them write your resume?

and if you don't get the job, do you get some of your money back?

personally, I would rather list a fake job and just plagiarize the resumes of the people that apply

Having someone else write my resume would be kind of a slap in the face.

Since OP is asking I would say pay someone to create one for you. It's a "one-time" investment and just edit and update it for additional future use. If one is competing against 60 to 70 applicants, it's worth skipping Starbucks for a while to have it done professionally.

I've seen some that's just horrible and such candidate would benefit from that "one-time" expense.

Sometimes I’m glad I have a skill based career.

A resume only showcases my work history and what I say I can do.

The test proves my resume isnt bullshit.

My next resume will be a coupon of aluminum and stainless steel welded together and engraved with my name and phone number.

Wrote my own. Mine consists of mostly keywords (very few actual sentences lol) that I know will get picked up by whatever parser they end up using to search cleared sites.

How does Creo compare to Solidworks?

Also "Map width enhancement", fancy wording for making the turbo whistle more

I actually only saw Solidworks for the first time a couple weeks ago.

Our entire company uses creo exclusively, but the idiot developing a new graphics process for our service literature doesn't know how to use it.

And since apparently no on on this team knew Creo even existed, he's been able to rewrite the standard entirely in Solidworks, which has to be farmed out to a 3rd party contractor

THAT SUCKS ***

I went up to the company to see how they work and watched this old Larry Gergich lookin *** guy spend TWO HOURS exploding 5 parts in an assembly

MAKES ME RAGE!

$40 an our we pay these ding dongs

but I think it looked similar enough if you're familiar with one of them you could be pretty proficient (for general use) in a week or so

He probably thinks he's very technical at his job too

How does he explode these parts? Holding the ctrl and scrolling?

I review resume's when we are hiring and I'd say most people don't know how to write them. If you don't and you want to stand out it might be worth paying someone. It really depends on the market you are looking for too though. If you are applying for an entry level job at home depot then who cares what it looks like. If you are going for a professional career then it should look as such.

I think if you're self aware enough to be concerned about the quality of your resume, you're probably smart enough to figure out how to improve it
