Default Is the CTR ugly?

Let's just settle this.

Voting for CRX = you don't hate it, but obviously the CRX is superior. Which equals an "ugly" vote

I wouldn't say its ugly.... Maybe over-styled though. Those useless HUGE back grills bother the hell out of me.

Love the front. The back I have mixed feelings about.

Not ugly, but not subtle. Honda is thumbing their nose at the supercars. Most people that buy supercars wouldn't be able to take a CTR to it's limit.

I do like the interior. The speedo area is very nice especially.

I'd ditch the wing, put smaller wheels with beefier tires.

Convenience and manufacturability weigh highly in that.

Edit: Honda knows how to aero, F1 is a great testbed

Nice comparison. Next you should do one between a mansion and a single wide trailer.

I don't know what those would do to the performance of the car, but it would sure as hell look better.

Does that mean the electronics will **** the bed before you pull out of the driveway?

I think it is ugly, but I also think that it does not matter. :-)

I do not like white the way that I thought that I would. With white, the huge black parts of the car are accented too much.

Yes. Not only does it have the ricey spoiler I hate seeing on Japanese stuff, it's also overstyled to start. All those fussy extra lines and creases and things seem to be a trend; the first time I saw the current Mustang, overstyled popped into my mind too. Which is a shame, because if you look at a silhouette of either, they both have a really attractive basic shape and proportions.

What happened to the folks who penned the S2000? That's a timelessly simple design which, while not gorgeous or eye catching, has stood and will continue to stand the test of time.

There's the Aztek and then there's the CTR.

It's weird because I like the standard hatchback a bit.

No option for HIDEOUS? That would be my choice.

I also don't care for the looks of the standard civic hatch. Hate the squared off grill and the Michael Bay looking tail lights.

I agree. originally I said I would want a CW one. But now that I see them, I would prefer either black or grey so its a little more subtle.

I understand that the wide 20" wheels actually help with controlling the torque steer. Along with the suspension design of course.

Depends on the width. With rubber band tires on those 20", 18x9 with 255 tires would offer more contact patch.

I'm not sure of the stock width. But one of the reviews I read specifically mentioned the wheel size had a lot to do with controlling torque steer.

Aesthetically I think they are too large. I remember SCC back in the day stating that the reason the ITR wheels were only 15" was specifically for the performance vs aesthetics.

I'd bet they are 8" wide. On 245/30 they don't offer a lot.

I don't think it's ugly but it's not subtle. You stand out while breaking all of the traffic laws although the aero is functional. Honda needs to do what Subaru did and offer a a version for the mature driver!
