i would get an intel quad core. the amd cpu right now are slower.for the graphics card i suggest get the 4850 fro 22 inch or lower. or the 4870 for 22 inch or over.

the ram i would get G.SKILL PI Black 4GB (2 x 2GB) http://www.newegg.com/Product/...31209

or

Crucial Ballistix 4GB
http://www.buy.com/retail/Prod...64205

here are my specs for my computer

intel 2.4quad
2gb of ram ocz sli (4gb would have been ideal)
650tx corsair power supply
2 8600gtxxx
dell sp2208wfp monitors

i don't recommend the my graphic cards they arent' the greatest for games.

No sir. E8500. (Core 2; 45nm)

For the price and performance, you can't beat it. It even out performs most quad core processors that can be twice or even 3 times as much.

gigabyte

the asus en9800gt ultimate is the best 9800gt on the market. Check the specs.

i didnt check your case but 9/10 times the power supply that 'comes with' a case is garbage. Its happened to me, luckily it didnt damage any other components when it fried itself within 3months of owning it.

with a high end cpu and gpu youre going to want atleast 500-550w power supply. Ive always had good luck with antec but theres several names out there that have quality ps's

thx for the reply
well so far my setup is

ASUS M2N32-SLI DELUXE WIRELESS WIFI AMD AM2 MOTHERBOARD(the best one i could find)

getting either a amd thlon x2 5800 or something over 2.6ghz

OCZ GameXStream OCZ600GXSSLI 600W ATX12V power supply

Verto GeForce 9600GT Graphics Card VCG96512GXPB

also have a geforce 7950 gt oc card that I bought, dont know which is better though

2gig of corsair 800 ram

250 gig western digital 7200rpm hd

soon to get a nice case

and a sony cd/dvd drive

seems like a pretty decent setup for gaming. I mean I'll be spending about 400 on the above stuff so thats a pretty good deal
