It isn't hard to stick a motorcycle into the back of a truck, with or without a flat tire or "issues" with its ability to run.

Sucks, though. Was it insured?

Oh wait you wanted to keep that bike? I thought it was trash just sitting at the end of your driveway. Oh well, finders keepers

Most motorcycle theft is 2 dudes tossing it in the back of a pickup.

pretty much, that bike weighs under 430lbs, depending on the year. two decent sized dudes can toss in in the back of a truck pretty easy.

How heavy is a CBR, or a 600cc bike for that matter? 400lbs?

I think that was what was going on in the mind of the people who stole my roommate's motorcycle jack. He needed it for awhile to get his Vstar running but once he got it running he left the jack outside under our apartment's carport instead of taking it putting it inside the storage closet. He kept saying nobody was going to take it but about 4 months later somebody did. Funny thing is it was missing for a few weeks before he actually noticed. I don't feel sorry for him though.

she lives in a pretty good area, and we lift cars there even longer, it's most likely the biggest theft( to my knowlegde) to happen in that area

a fix is highly unlikely a bolt fell in the something or other( i don't know much about bike) starting it would only make it worse.
