Default Car dealerships steam cleaning engines

I know dealerships do this- and I have no problem with it. I'd like to know if I approached a dealership about doing this to my car if they would do it.

BTW, I've already tried to do it myself. Waste of time and the steamer broke. Just wasnt up for the job.

they would most likely do it for you if you are a loyal customer to them. I get lots of "freebees" from my dealer

haha, i did ninja edit that ****.... Anyway, i think it cost about $10-12 and came out pretty good. If the dealership denies you like one did to me ("we don't do honda's here" - Fukcer) just say expletive you and go to another dealership

Anything that is on there pretty good, your not gonna get off with a simple steam clean, your probably gonna have to use degreaser

Back when I was a detailer for a body shop, I would do this for free or $20. We had this bad *** pressure washer that burned diesel to heat the water. Right before my friends would do a motor swap or something they'd bring it to me to dissolve all the gunk.

I'd say stop by your local body shop and see what's up. Hell, if you see a kid outside washing cars, just ask him.

Oh its all over the engine and tranny. Been there for a long time too. Can you suggest a hyper-duty degreaser?

Just go to the wash bay and look for the 16-18 year old kid. Tell him you'll give him 20 bucks and most will do it...

I detailed cars for along time, at a few diffreent dealers. The answer to your question is no 99% of the time, they won't do it because of the responsibilty if something goes wrong.

We never cleaned engines on the privately owned cars , but every dealer car got done. Private owners would come back when something on their car broke 2 months later and claim it was because of the engine wash.
