We wouldn't

Trump would just drop California from the U.S.

"It will simply divide the state into smaller, more manageable populations. Think of North Carolina and South Carolina; North Dakota and South Dakota; West Virginia and Virginia -- California is already known for its Northern and Southern identities," according to the Cal 3 website.

That's a shitload of easy blue electoral votes that would be at risk.

I say go for it.

It could add, potentially, three new red Senate seats. 0_0

This has a lot to do with Californians being disenfranchised due to their high population. CA has 12% of the nations people, but only 2% of the nations representation in the Senate. Meanwhile there are 22 states that collectively total the population of CA and they collectively get 44 percent of the Senate representation.

I don't think TX has the problems managing itself like CA.

That being said, "South California" is SCREWED if this happens.

Yeah, good luck getting a Democrat ever elected as president with that partition. Sure, this has a chance.

That and industry... California New has the film industry, etc. North California has the tech industry, etc. What does South California have other than desert and the front of the immigration challenges?

"The proposal by venture capitalist Tim Draper.....Draper has said that partitioning California into three states would allow regional communities to make better and more sensible decisions"

Venture capitalist huh? Yeah, I'm sure he's doing it out of the goodness of his heart so communities can make better decisions. Riiiight. I wonder what his real reason, i.e. payday, is from this.

I wonder how this would screw up businesses with branches across the current state. I have customers now that have branches in the Bay Area, Central Coast, LA, San Diego. This would probably **** all that up

Because Democrats have any power at the state or national level? Have you been paying attention for the last 10 years?

Aside from Obama's 2 terms, Dems have been getting bent over by the GOP and it's not going to stop anytime soon.
