Default blue tape after getting window replaced?

i just had my windshield replaced and was wondering why they put blue tape on it and how long i have to wait to take it off.

i think you're supposed to leave it there for about 3 days. I replaced my driver side mirror and they put blue tape on it and told me to leave it on for about 3 days.

when my uncle got his windshield replaced.. they put blue tape on there and told him to keep it on there for one day. i think its so if you slam ur doors, the windshield wont pop out.

the tape keeps out things like rain so it keeps the adhesive dry.

Not true, because if you ever go to a window place they put tape like every 4 inches around, if they did it to keep water out, they would do it all away around. Some places don't use tape, if the job is done right there is no need for tape they say. But keep it on for a day then take it off.

Three days so the adhesive can fully cure. Especially if you live in a cooler climate.

When I had my window replaced a month ago, they said not to take it through any car washes or anything. But then on the way home like an hour later the tape ripped off. i went back right quick, they told me it was fine.

Just leave it on for a day and dont go slamming your doors. It will be fine. And you can wash it, just don't go using a pressure washer on the windshield.
