I don't care to check all of those facts either but we for sure don't lead the way in them lol. We're a pretty dumb country as a whole.

It depends on your definition of great.

If you're a billionaire it is pretty damn perfect.

If you're a regular person? It is a burdensome place.

Na I don't think so. There are a lot of folks around the world who enjoy a much better standard of living than us whilst working far less.

THis is Americas problem, work you to death and tax you for that effort. There was a time in America you did not work weekends, now you're mandated to work weekends or else kick rocks

It's not a movie, it's a TV show.

Also, watch Michael Moore's "Where to invade next" to see why America isn't the greatest country.

If you care about people other than yourself, yes it has its issues at that level as well.

**** Michael Moore, and I'll say that yes we are still the greatest country. And the only ones that are even close are our cousins anyway (Canadia, Australia, UK).

I haven't been to every other country so I can't say for certain, but I still think this country is pretty great. I think it's funny that at the end of his tirade he starts talking about how we "used to be great". We've ALWAYS had issues and we've always faced challenges so let's not pretend that at one point in time our nation was near perfect, because it never was and quite frankly never will be. It's still great though.

In many ways America is the best place to live. We've had the world's highest standard of living since before the Revolutionary War (Source: 1776 by William McCullough). We have vast expanses of open land that is fully accessible to the public. Our population density is lower than most industrialized nations, particularly out west. Job and business opportunities are plentiful, even during a recession America is still the place to be economically.

We're only the greatest country because of our constitution, which liberals are slowly destroying more and more every year.

Please, I beg you, to give one way in which this is true.

All the while 'conservatives' look to consolidate power, disenfranchise voters by the millions and kill social freedoms for groups they do not like.
