I don't really understand how Jaguar is still in the business of making cars.

I dont understand it either. I dont know a single person in my family, or anyone in my circle of friends that has or wants to own a Jaguar.

Don't get me wrong, they know how to make a car look good. But I barely see any. Maybe the US is not their strong suit?

Someone on my street has the glorified Ford Fusion sedan on my street. That is my only connection to a Jag owner

That F Pace does look good though.

No, it's not.

They sell about 650,000 units/year, but not all that many in the United States.

They have a generally good image as a premium name, internationally, but in North America they will never do well against Lexus and some others with better reputations for reliability and a better dealer network.

It has been a setback for Jaguar prestige that younger members of the royal family appear to prefer various Audis for their personal drives.

Yep.

F-Types are pretty common too.

I am also seeing way more F Paces around.

But George is right. As much as I enjoy looking at Jaguars I have a hard time reconciling ownership and it was on the short list when my wife got the CLS550. Although honestly she is beginning to wish she had bought the Lexus.

4 cylinder thou. Price starts $45, so they are pricing it right considering everyone wants a SUV.

F-Paces are the new "I have money" soccer mom vehicle.

I just wonder if the word "soccer mom" need to be redefine. Are there still moms that are not working and have the time to take kids to soccer practice?

Most F-Pace owners I see are real estate agents. Or what sugar daddies buy for their 20-30 something friend.

Imagine buying a british SUV and keeping it longer than its warranty.
