From an engineering perspective I do not understand why a flat plane crank would be more prone to breaking than a cross plane crank. Does anyone have a credible explanation for that? I was under the impression a flat plane crank isn't as "balanced" as a CPC? They tend to actually cause MORE internal engine vibration.
BUT, there seems to be quite a few cranks and blower snouts snapping lately in Mustang land.

FPC is way less balanced than a CPC. This is why the 350GT has oil leak issues, literally the oil filter vibrates off, and the fix was to have threadlock on it.

Would still GT350R

That's the exact impression I was under....which would totally make sense that adding boost, and still revving out to 8250 would cause problems.

GT350s need to drop into the $30s and I'll buy one. I've been seeing them in the mid 40s over the winter. Hopefully people will be upgrading.

Yeah something tells me these pics weren't even supposed to be taken so the guy prob snuck them real quick. It's not on any major press release so this was most likely a hush-hush pre-release.
