I never looked at the old one, but could tell it was getting bad when the Carmax thread turned into a politics thread in the first 3 posts.

Inb4 UC Nick gets overly sensitive about something (most likely gay marriage, transgender rights, someone not living according to his "Christian" beliefs, etc.) and we can quote him calling people "snowflakes" for the 300th time.

Same thing that will happen to this thread...mark my words. The mods don't do anything and people cry about dumb ****. So the only thing mods do is close a thread instead of actually moderating or telling the reporting parties to stfu and grow up. As a result we are left in this ridiculous cycle of new threads constantly being created because the mods think that will change things. News flash: it won't.

EDIT: here is a proposal. Maybe the mods should bring back the political section and leave it mostly unmoderated. If you don't like what is said (presuming it's not like threats or something obviously not ok) then gtfo of that section. That would save every from having to watch this **** show from happening again and again and again.

I do want to circle back to the conversation regarding the electoral college and popular vote. My last post regarding "equal" representation as it stands today:

"Each state, regardless of population, gets two senators. The congress member to citizen ratio is also skewed. California has 55 congress members that represent on average 691,000 citizens each. Wyoming has a population of 576,000 and has 3 congress members. Coupled with the EC and the system is completely tilted in favor or less populated states that contain more rural areas."

My opinion is that there is a LOT of rules in place that give an unfair advantage to rural, less populated states. Thoughts?

Already on another one, eh?

Well, I've seen "short", and "snowflake" on the first page already so that probably sets the tone.

I read the last page of the old thread. I literally don't see what the "issue" was.
