I do not condone Mesa Tactical stuff. I spent so much on my 870 that it would’ve been cheaper just to buy a Benelli M3. But it is pretty badass tho.

Thx man. It all started because I had a leftover stock and grip. But isn’t that how it always starts? “Oh look, I found an extra bag of LPK. I should build another AR.”

The thing with that dude in the video is, as far I know, and as far as what everyone presumed was, that a fixed mag AR pistol was legal.
We have an AR pistol but the government dont know...

Been shopping the 1911 market for the last couple weeks. **** ton of options but am set on not spending over a grand.

Sounds like the Springfield Mil-Spec wins that category every time and is very reasonably priced purchased online so would just need a FFL on board.

However theres a gun shop down south that has a loaded with a crimson trace laser grip...

I still like Springfield 1911's, regardless of the boycotting certain people want to do.

I never really got into the Loaded model because of the parkerized finish, the overall fitment, and lack of FSC, so I instead got a TRP in Armory Kote black. It shoots great, it's super durable and has a tight lockup, and just looks badass.... and that's all that matters to me.

Where does this end? I look forward to suing AK Steel for supplying GMC with steel that made the car that I'm in if I have an accident someday in the future I see the game that is being played here.

I prefer the blued finish that looks a bit more authentic but seems like only Colt offers it and some of the cheapo brands. The Mil-Spec SA wins almost ever sub 1k comparison, and the loaded is that plus all the added upgrades you would ever want in the future.

Once im off my 7/12’s I’m going to head down south and buy it since it’s in stock.

So possibly a really stupid question here. In CA, I'm limited to a 10 round capacity magazine.

I was traveling around and stores outside of CA have them just on the shelves that I can buy. I'm assuming I'm not supposed to buy and bring it into my state, right?

Can’t import, manufacture, sell, purchase, lend, or borrow. Luckily I had all of mine since before the ban.

What guns do you have?

Well you could have if you would have not posted about it here.

This is my first handgun and wont likely be my last. Also looking at the HK P30L 9mm for the Mrs. But she shot a .40 no problem so am pretty confident she wont even mind the .45 with a much longer barrel.

As the USP was developed at the same time as the SOCOM MK23, the pistol underwent much of the same rigorous testing. The barrel is cold-forged from chromium steel for increased life. USP barrels post November of 1994 use a polygonal profile, whereas 1994 and earlier models utilize traditional 'land and grooves' rifling. During testing, a bullet was deliberately lodged in a USP barrel. Another cartridge was then fired into the obstructing bullet. The second bullet cleared the barrel, resulting in a barely noticeable bulge. The pistol was then fired for accuracy and the resulting group measured less than 4 inches at 25 meters.[16]

Temperature testing required the USP be frozen to −42 C and fired, frozen again, and then be heated up to 67 C and fired. These temperature tests were continually repeated with no adverse effects on the USP.[16]

The gun was also subjected to NATO MIL-SPEC mud and rain tests, which were passed without difficulty. Water immersion and salt spray also presented no problems. German Navy combat divers have used the USP for two years without any signs of corrosion.

Safety testing exceeded the ANSI/SAAMI requirements adopted in May 1990. These included dropping a USP with a primed cartridge and decocked hammer on a variety of hard surfaces without discharging. The USP surpassed these commercial requirements, as well as German Army and police tests, including repeated drop tests from six feet (1.8 m), hammer first, onto a steel backed concrete slab. Proof round firing resulted in no cracks, deformations, or increase in head space. Attempts to fire the USP pistol with an unlocked breech proved unsuccessful.

Testing with a variety of ammunition proved the USP meets these high standards. During the USP testing phase, it was shown the recoil-reduction system reduces the force on the USP grip to approximately 300 newtons (67 pounds-force). Peak force shock on competing .40 caliber polymer and metal framed pistols was around 5,000 newtons (1,100 pounds-force). The primary benefit of low peak shock is a decrease in wear and tear on pistol components, a great concern with the +P cartridge in 9 mm, .40 S&W, and .45 ACP. Reduction of peak shock forces also contributes to softer recoil for the shooter, although these "felt recoil" values are much more subjective.

1911 design is over 100 years old.

Like cars, there are technical aspects to consider but at the end of the day, shooting both back to back, I preferred and shot better with the 1911.

1911 ***** <-

@FFM-I would shell out a little extra for the Springfield loaded over the milspec. Better sights and beaver tail ideally makes it a better shooter.
