Default your opinions please - exhaust question..

Well, i posted a while ago about my exhaust setup for my turbo sohc (gt28r running 7psi). I have a 2.5" downpipe with 2.5" high flow cat, but couldn't be decesive about exhaust from the cat-back. So ive decided to get with the Apexi N1, but the muffler - not the whole exhaust, cause I figure itll be cheaper to just by the muffler and get it customed piped since the exhaust costs $400 anyway. So my question is whether to get the turbo version or NA version? I know it sounds kinda stupid since im turbo'd, but the turbo version is 3" inlet while the NA is 2.5" and I read awhile ago thats its better to keep a constant diameter all the way back, so then keeping that in mind, which one should I get? Get the 3" and do a 2.5" > 3" somewhere along the custom piping or get the 2.5" all the way back? Thanks...

Get the turbo version 3". Then when you have more money, just make a 3" downpipe and call it a day.

it wasnt a money issue for getting a 2.5" downpipe, i just wanted to keep my ac. Plus, if im not planning on running alot of boost (maybe 10psi in the future w/mild build), so for now 2.5" should be fine. Ive heard that 3" isn't necessary and could almost be too much for small apps. I was really just wondering if its better to go 2.5" consistently all the way back or 2.5" to the exhaust and then 3" from the cat back?

Still get the 3" system.....you can easily make a 3" AC compatible downpipe down the road. All you do is use a tiny bit of 2.5" pipe right off the turbo until that first bend by the compressor. Once you make that bend, then you go to 3" all the way back.
